If you’re looking for a wedding photographer who can provide storytelling coverage of your day, without controlling the event itself, we invite you to consider our services.

Michael Wade began his career in photography in 1986 as a photojournalist in Pullman, Washington. He and his wife, Michelle, began photographing weddings in 1991. In the same year they moved to Spokane, where they established Anastasia’s Portrait Design.

His experience as a photojournalist helped him develop his own style of wedding coverage. “My purpose at a wedding is to tell a love story,” he says.

Together they strive to bring the highest standards of creativity and service possible to each wedding they cover. “We get great photography at our weddings in part because we coordinate the day in advance and look for the little things that help set the bride and groom at ease,” Michelle says.

Michael has a very soothing voice that relaxes the bride, and we find many brides choose us because they know that their fiancees will be able to relax with Michael doing the photography. He has a personality that seems to be ideal for wedding photography.”

If you’re ready for something really special, the attention to detail at Anastasia’s will make all the difference.

Michael is one of the few wedding photographers certified by the Professional Photographers of America in the Pacific Northwest.* He is a technical advisor for the PPA, has won national awards, and his work was recently included in the world’s largest international portrait exhibit. He writes regularly for professional photography publications, and is growing in demand as a speaker.

Michael has over ten years of experience combining classical portraiture with his photojournalism style to create a wedding album that unfolds one chapter at a time.

Wedding Photography should be more than smiling groups of people. A well-designed album should tell a story that is uniquely yours: a color, a mood, an essence that is yours and no one else’s. Fleeting memories preserved on film forever. Because some days are meant to last forever.
